2022 Honda Civic touring

The most popular selling vehicle of all time, the Honda Civic compact vehicle has received a revamped design for its 2022 model. The Civic receives a more mature appearance, improved cabin design, and some new features. A couple four-cylinder engines—including a turbocharged 1.5-liter—are selectable; while front wheel drive only continues to be the Civic standard. An update to the tech features such as a large infotainment display, smartphone connectivity, and features that benefit the Civic in a tight compact car competition.

The Honda Civic has been redesigned for 2022, with an upgraded interior. Similar to the previous year, the Honda Civic will be available as a hatchback and sedan body styling.

What has carried over from last year is the powertrain options on the Honda Civic. The base models come with a standard 158-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the enhanced engine being a 180 horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged motor. Some consumers will be disappointed to find that the manual transmission sedan that has been previously offered has been scrapped for 2022; leaving a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as the only offering. For gear changers, a six speed manual transmission is still available for the hatchback. The handling is receptive, responsive, and  balanced throughout the drive.

According to the EPA, the most fuel efficient version of the new Civic is the mid-range EX, which earns ratings of L/100km City.

A more unified interior design leads the 2022 Civic, with more thought and consideration given. Intricate lines and a dashboard featuring a full honeycomb-pattern design horizontal to hide the air vents. A wider windshield is given to minimize blind spots for a safer ride. A larger center console and cup holders that serves as convenient for any size cup, a deep bin in front of the shifter for smartphones. Heated front seats with rear seat heating options available.

The 2022 Civic will come standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, but a larger 9.0-inch unit is optional, as is a 10.2-inch digital gauge display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard and also offer wireless connectivity when paired with the larger of the two screens. Other options include in-dash navigation, a Bose stereo system with 12-speakers given in the Touring, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

Honda will continue to be the compact-car juggernaut as it always has. The all new Civic offers a brash of highlighted features for a new generation of owners to admire. Look for the Honda Civic to continue sitting in the best-seller chart.
